Ticklish Ideas

Barbara Ehrenreich's new book is blowing my mind. I spent two years as a clerical temp, with brief forays into permanency (contradictory, yes, but true) at a couple of corporations. I sometimes think I'm nuts, I'm making half the pay I made in those jobs, but then I look down at my jeans and sneakers and think, "No, I'm doing alright." And Bait and Switch is only reinforcing that feeling. It's brutal out there and I'm glad not to be playing.

I'm only 40 pages into the book so far - remind me if I don't follow up with another post.
