Comments:
I have read all but 5 of these books. Does that make me 75% geek, 25% cool?

Expressing yourself in percentage points makes you ~90% geek, but since geek=cool, it's not a problem.

I've only read about half of these books, but it looks like a list of my favorites plus my mental "as soon as I can" list. Besides, I usually get extra geek credit for my uncanny ability to recite H2G2 from memory.

Snow Crash has to wait until I'm no longer turning purple with rage or pallid with sadness whenever I think of Mr JustDumpedMe. It's one of his favorites, and I don't want the reminder in my house for another month or two.

that's terrible! I fell off the scifi bandwagon for many years, only to regain my seat when my dad picked up a copy of snowcrash for me on a business trip.
That's not his name. His name is Mr. TooFuckingStupidtoKnowHowCoolYouAre.

Shameless, you just made me sooooo happy!
