whoa! so you get two sizes of olives and some carrots. you slice down the front of the big ones and fill them with something white. you put the smaller ones on top for heads. you cut thick slices of carrot with a wedge out of one side for the feet. you hold it all together with a flaggy toothpick.

but how do you get the beaks on?
 

You've got it, Em. There's a short slice just below the "equator" of the small olive that pinches closed to hold the beak.
